Winner receives dinner for two at Bar Cento.

4th Annual Halloween Costume Ball
Saturday, October 31st with DJ GO performing all night
Free admission (as always!)
Come celebrate the one day it is socially acceptable to act like a college kid and dress morally casual.
Anyone in a Prohibition-era costume will get a free draft beer in Speakeasy!

Cavs Season is finally here to distract us from the Browns!
Remember that you can drive to the Bier Markt and Bar Cento, park for free, eat and drink (much more affordably), and ride the rapid for $2 or get a $5 cab ride.
Either of these alternatives are much better than dealing with the expensive hassle of parking down by the arena and eating at the game!

Gift Certificates to Bier Markt, Bar Cento & Speakeasy
They make the perfect holiday gift for the any foodie, beer, wine, and cocktail aficianado.
Show someone why you love us so much!

Congratulations to Aaron & Nikki Mendelsohn…

… who celebrated their wedding day at Bier Markt and Speakeasy this month!

Thanks for to the Plain Dealer for voting Bar Cento the 2nd Best French Fries/Pomme Frites
… and congratulations to our friend Michael Symon at Lola for winning first place.
We’d love to have a frites-off with the Iron Chef……anytime…anywhere!

Thanks to Cleveland Magazine for honoring us with “Best Dipping Sauces” and Best Ohio City Hotspot
I’m starting to get the feeling that people really love our pomme frites!

Lastly, thanks to Big Z of the Cavs
He mentioned us as one of his favorite places in Cleveland in this interview in the Plain Dealer…

Bar Cento: The Beginning of This Story.
By Michael Lapidaskis, September 14, 2009

Before I get started telling you how much I enjoyed my dinner at Bar Cento, I must warn; McNulty’s Bar Cento/Bier Markt is the reason my friends and I began this site. The first time I visited the trendy bar in Ohio City was about a year and a half ago. I remember asking myself, “How is a modern place like this located in Cleveland?” The random curtains on the walls and old books mixed in with the wide variety of wines gave me the distinct feeling of being in a city like New York or Boston. It’s an intimate environment that really makes you feel like your part of something unique, something to call your own.

Enough about the atmosphere though, thats not what keeps me coming back. The beer selection is huge, like over a hundred beers huge, and the wine list is no shorter. When you do go to Bar Cento/Bier Markt, you have to order a unique beer, it’s a staple. Luckily for me, the servers are all very knowledgeable and quick to make suggestions, and being the indecisive person I am, I always let them pick the best beer for my meal.
